The King of the Tooth Fairy Kingdom called an emergency meeting and told all the tooth fairies to come back to the palace right away.
Within days, thousands of little winged fairies filled the grand hall, waiting quietly for their King and Queen.

At last, the big doors opened. The King flew out, but to everyone’s shock, the Queen was carried on a bed by four elves.
It was a beautiful white bed made from tiny teeth, gold, and silver coins. The Queen lay there pale and still, dressed in a silver nightgown. She looked like she was just sleeping.

When the elves set the bed down, the King flew to his throne and spoke loudly.
“My dear citizens, I need your help. The Queen is very sick. We need more baby teeth to save her and our kingdom.
You all know that baby teeth are our life force. Without them, we cannot survive. But in the human world, fewer teeth have been coming to us. That is why the Queen is growing weaker. We must find new sources of baby teeth. Do you have any ideas?”

The fairies looked at the Queen and worried. Their whole kingdom was built on teeth. Once a tooth was ground into powder, it released a special scent — that was the energy the fairies lived on.
But lately, human children were having their teeth pulled out at hospitals, and the teeth were burned. The number of teeth collected had dropped to half. The kingdom was barely holding on.
The fairies started shouting ideas. Some even suggested using animal teeth. But only baby teeth had the magic they needed.
In the end, someone suggested that to allow the fairies to show themselves to children to collect teeth.

This caused a big stir! Everyone knew that showing themselves to humans drained a fairy’s energy. If they weren’t given new teeth quickly, they could vanish forever. That’s why so many fairies had already disappeared in recent years. They would only sneak into a child’s room through a portal when the first tooth became wobbly. They would wait until the tooth fell out and take it from under the pillow.
Still, the fairies were loyal. They would do anything for their King and Queen.
So each fairy was given a gold coin and a shiny wand for magic and off they flew through a portal to the human world.

Fairy Deena loved to dance, twirling through the air and sprinkling pink fairy dust as she leapt from leaf to leaf.
She soon found herself in the room of a boy named Tom. He was five and had a very wobbly tooth. Every time he tried to eat, it hurt. His dad told him to bite an apple to make the tooth come out. Deena was hopeful.
But when Tom bit the apple, he cried, “It hurts! I don’t like apples!” He refused to eat solid food. His mum and dad whispered about taking him to the dentist in three days.
Deena grew worried. If Tom didn’t pull the tooth himself, she would fail.
Two days passed. The tooth dangled by a thread. Tomorrow, Tom was going to the dentist. Deena decided she had no choice — she had to show herself.

That night, after story time, Tom turned off the light. Deena waved her wand, and a pink glow filled the room. Slowly, a tiny fairy appeared on the windowsill.
“Please help me,” she said weakly.
Tom gasped, but he wasn’t afraid. She was so small and gentle. He listened as she told him about the kingdom, the Queen, and the power of baby teeth.
“I’m going to the dentist tomorrow,” Tom said. “I can give you the tooth then.”
“No,” Deena shook her head. “That won’t work. I need you to pull it out. Only with your brave heart will the tooth have magic. Please, we are dying.”

Tom’s mum came into the room, surprised to see a real fairy! Tom told her what Deena was telling him, and she understood at once.
“Tom,” she said softly, “this fairy needs your courage. It will hurt, but only you can do it. Can you be brave?”
Tom took a deep breath. “I’ll try!”
He reached into his mouth and grabbed the tooth. Pain shot through him. “Ahhh!” he cried. But then — pop! The tooth came out!

Instantly, the pain was gone. He opened his hand to see the tiny tooth.
The tooth vanished, leaving a gold coin in its place. Deena felt the strong life force surge back into her. She flew happily around the room, sprinkling pink dust. Then she bowed deeply to Tom and disappeared.

Back in the palace, the tooth was ground into powder. The Queen slowly opened her eyes. She was saved!

That night, the kingdom celebrated. Tom’s parents were so proud of his courage. They told everyone the story of how their brave boy had saved a fairy’s life.
